Crisler Herndon is the Research Program Manager for the Advanced Composites Institute (ACI). She joined the ACI in August of 2022, overseeing business operations and providing programmatic oversight for funded projects, grants, and research. Crisler and her team work hard to provide exceptional service to all local, state, industry, and MSU partners. Crisler has been with Mississippi State University for over seven years. Before joining the ACI, Crisler served as Research Administrator for the High-Performance Computing Collaboratory (HPCC). In this capacity, she helped oversee funded projects for several research centers on campus including parts of the Geosystems Research Institute (GRI) and the Alliance for System Safety of UAS through Research Excellence (ASSURE). Before becoming a Research Administrator, she was the Resource Specialist for HPCC, overseeing the hiring process for eight research centers and institutes across the MSU community. Crisler spent two years as a Program Coordinator for the Raspet Flight Research Laboratory where she started learning what and how project management, sponsored research, and contracting processes function through the lens of higher education. Before joining MSU, she spent more than 10 years in the banking industry after starting her career with Ferguson Enterprises after receiving her bachelor’s degree.
Crisler received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 2007 and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration. In 2020, she earned her Project Management Professional certification through the Project Management Institute.
