Jennifer Smith, MS

Jennifer Smith is the Program Manager, for the Advanced Composites Institute (ACI). She joined the team at ACI in February of 2023.  Jennifer manages the growth and development of our workforce programs with K-12, College, and Industry. 

Before coming to ACI she was the Resource Specialist for the High-Performance Computing Collaboratory overseeing the hiring process for seven research centers and institutes across the MSU community.

Jennifer began her career at MSU working with the Department of Human Resource Management for 9 years.  During this time Jennifer worked in several roles within the department as the Leave Specialist, HRM Resource Specialist and HRIS specialist.  Prior to working at MSU Jennifer’s previous work experience included marketing, customer service, staffing and management.     

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science and Technology from the University of West Alabama.  Earning her master’s degree of Workforce Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University in 2020.
