The Raspet Flight Research Laboratory is an innovative, world-class flight research facility with a 70 year history of successfully serving government and industry customers and MSU faculty, staff, and students alike. Raspet’s research currently concentrates on two pivotal focus areas: Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Advanced Composite Materials.
Most recently, Raspet has worked alongside the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the U.S. Navy’s Office of Naval Research (ONR), the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA), Boeing, Vanilla Aircraft, PrecisionHawk, and more, on a diverse catalog of UAS and advanced composites research.
The Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) world-class technology development center comprised of engineering, research, development and technology transfer teams. Founded in 2002, CAVS is committed to exploring solutions to complex problems, in areas such as autonomous vehicles, materials science, high-performance computing, advanced controls, and human-machine interaction.
